Posada hearts Girardi; Mets heart Posada
There had been some rumors of a rift between Posada and Girardi. According to a press release Friday from Posada it’s not true…
“Girardi was my mentor and he always taught me the value of having a great work ethic and how it was most important to maintain the position year after year,” Posada said in the statement, released by his agents, Sam and Seth Levinson.

There also is that OTHER NY team that might throw a monkey wrench in this lovefest, drive up the price, or give him and the Yanks no choice but to split ways.

Posada will use the Mets as leverage but he wont sign in NL. He’s going to need to DH later in his career. It’s all smoke and mirrors.
